First Attempt

Hello All,

This is my first major attempt at creating several new alien fleets and backgrounds for a particular game system, in this case Escalation Wars. So I will ask you all for your contructive critism, saga advice and imput as I go along. I would like to thank Tyrel again for allowing my brother and I to try this, and I hope to make a solid effort at it.

Currently I am working on at least four powers to be added to the Escalation War Saga. I will be going over them in more detail, in later articles. So plenty of time for ideas to be thrashed about, as well as bring you all up to speed on what has been done, and what still needs to be ironed out.

But for now, here are the names of the powers being added to the history of Northern Wastes - The Bo'dan Empire, The Tycho Commonwealth, The A'Shaard Union and The Arcanium Empire

The bulk of my brother and I efforts is currently focused on completed a general brief for the history and starting ships/fighters used by the Bo'dan and the Tycho.

Thanks for enquiring Nahuris (John), I plan to start adding some basic information about each of the powers over the next few weeks. So people can get a better feel for each race as it develops.

As to how the project is going, reasonably well, but at times it does seem painfully slow and frustrating. As Tyrel and several others have noted in several articules in the Great Machine, creating a race and ships often takes a great deal more thought then one would think.

Add to the fact that I have the problems of intergrating this all into Tyrel's existing history for the Escalation Wars, increases the level of complication. However Tyrel, has been most supportive about it, and for the most part we have been able to mesh the added history line into the current plans.

As time goes on I will be adding more details to the four above powers of the Northern Wastes. Be it either details on the speices themselves or notes on their ship designs and weapons systems they employ. Also as a side note, I will likely put out a few requests at some point, for the creation of SCS. Will see as time, goes on. My rough notes and designs are being done in Paint, so I have an idea of what I want done.
